Vauxhall Movano review

The Vauxhall Movano is at the top of Vauxhall’s commercial vehicle range and shares its platform with the Renault Master and Nissan NV400. The Vauxhall Movano is available as a rear drive and front wheel drive. It also has three wheelbases, four lengths, three roof heights and gross weights vary between 2.8 to 4.5 tonnes.

The Movano doesn’t have a defined trim level choice, but Vauxhall often supplement the base model with special “package” deals such as convenient or safety packs.

The Movano has a high level of standard equipment starting with Electronic Stability Programme-plus (ESP-plus) with traction control, Twin rear doors (unglazed and with 90° and 180° openings), nearside sliding side-access door, foldable electrically adjustable/heated door mirrors, Driver’s airbag, rear parking sensors and Electrically operated front windows.

The standard CD 16 BT USB infotainment system features DAB / AM/FM radio, CD/MP3 CD player USB connection with iPod control, Aux-in socket, Bluetooth® audio streaming, Bluetooth® connectivity and Handsfree calls via steering wheel controls.

Vauxhall Movano engine and driveline

The Vauxhall Movano has six power options all based around the well proven 2.3 litre “Blueinjection” diesel engine, incidentally the one used in the Nissan Navara pickup.

There are two single turbo and two twin turbo versions with the single turbos starting at 110PS (290Nm Torque) and then 130PS (330Nm Torque). The twin turbos start at 145PS (360Nm Torque)and finish with the highest horsepowered 170PS (380Nm), these all feature Start/Stop as standard.

All the power ratings are matched to a six speed gearbox and a Tecshift automated gearbox is available on the 170PS.

Vauxhall Movano weights and loads

Movano has a comprehensive range of models available from the Front Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive, with single and twin wheels. They have four body lengths and three roof heights, catering for load lengths of between 2583mm and 4383mm.

With GVWs extending from 2.8t to 4.5t, the Vauxhall Movano has a wide range of GVW’s and can tow upto 2500kgs on the Front Wheel Drive (FWD)and 3500kgs on the Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). The front plated weight is 1850kgs throughout the range and rear is 2100kgs on the FWD and 2300kgs / 2800kgs on the RWD
