The Farizon SV, an all-electric commercial van from Farizon Auto, has received a Platinum safety rating from Euro NCAP after achieving 85 points in the latest round of safety tests. This makes it one of the safest vans ever tested by the independent crash testing organisation.

Farizon SV Sets a New Benchmark for Safety
Euro NCAP, which expanded its ratings to include commercial vans in 2021, has now assessed over 95% of the vans available in the European market. The Farizon SV’s performance in active safety tests places it at the top of the Euro NCAP rankings for Chinese electric commercial vehicles.
In the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) test, the Farizon SV scored 95% in scenarios including stationary objects, low-speed driving, and other urban conditions. It also performed well in detecting and responding to pedestrian and bicycle crossings and longitudinal driving scenarios, achieving a maximum longitudinal speed of 80 km/h. Additionally, the van received perfect scores for Lane Support Systems (LSS) and Occupant Status Monitoring (OSM), further demonstrating its high active safety performance.
Designed to Meet European Safety Standards
According to Andy Carroll, Country Manager at Jameel Motors Farizon Auto, the Farizon SV was developed to exceed European safety requirements. He stated that the rigorous testing and development process reflects the company’s commitment to safety. Carroll also highlighted that several advanced technologies, including the born-electric platform and drive-by-wire system, contribute to greater cargo space, extended range, and improved driver convenience.
UK Launch and Vehicle Specifications
The Farizon SV will enter the UK market in early 2025, distributed by Jameel Motors as part of a partnership with Farizon Auto, the commercial vehicle division of Geely Holding Group.
At launch, the Farizon SV will be available in three different lengths and heights, along with two battery options:
- 67 kWh battery
- 83 kWh battery
A larger 106-kWh battery will be introduced later. The maximum range is expected to reach 225 miles, and the payload capacity will be up to 1.3 tonnes. Full UK specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.

A Strong Contender in the Electric Van Market
With a Platinum Euro NCAP rating, strong safety credentials, and an electric platform offering competitive range and cargo space, the Farizon SV is set to be a major contender in the electric light commercial vehicle market. As fleet operators increasingly prioritise safety, efficiency, and sustainability, the Farizon SV’s combination of advanced technology and safety features could make it an attractive option for businesses transitioning to electric vehicles
